Another dope Miami Music collective, Cirx Records, just put out an awesome compilation called NXT LVL. It’s easy to get lost or even overly focused in the scene, so any chance we get to rep good quality tunes, we’ll take it. This comp really is next level type stuff. Acid house sounds and a classic bmore club/jungle sample greet you with a hyper frantic pace on just the first track, carried over to the second before settling down over the lush vocal and spaced out landscape of ‘Snakes and Ladders’. Atlanta-Atlanta is the banger in the middle of it all and then its all instantly cooled down by an atmospheric late-night run on the highway with Sohn Jamal’s Causeway Loop. With 7 tunes logging in around a 24-minute run time, this is a good sampling of the diversity of sound within the Miami Bass scene. Big ups to Cirx on putting this together and all the producers involved.
